My last traditional painting was completed last year and documented as a tutorial for Art Scene INternational magazine (a.k.a. Airbrush Art + Action magaazine) painted on 300# arches watercolor paper with watercolors, airbrush and a touch of pastels.
thanks! the learning curve held me back a while but once I decided to just use the same techniques I had on real paper and just paint and worry about layers and other special tools as I went along it all fell into place... I want my stuff to still have a painterly feel and I get that with Painter... awesome tool!
WOW! how cool is that? haha! Ya I wrote that ...what.. a year and a half ago? can't remember... I wasn't on DA at the time... I don't think anyway... hmmm maybe.. I got on DA November 2005.... I think I wrote that article about the same time but it was published a month or two afterwards.... its all a blur! hahaha!

I am sure it does run together, but I do still have the magazine somewhere. I can't airbrush for crap, but I still like to buy them every once in a while for a good tutorial or artist spotlight. Even if I am not actually airbrushing, I can maybe use them for inspiration for painter or photoshop.
a few months after that article I did one on a mermaid pinup in Painter... I think it came out in the april issue #66 those articles are hard to write.. a tutorial video would be better!

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
